Happy July everyone. Six months of the year gone already. Holiday season will soon be upon us.

Faulkner and Booth Hungerford

It would be good if anyone who lives near to Hungerford pop in the shop and take a look at the items on offer. Hopefully the summer months will attract more people out and about to Hungerford which does offer a good day out for antique hunting plus some nice pubs, restaurants and cafes to get a bite to eat and some relaxing walks along the canal and local countryside.

Up and coming auctions

Fieldings auctioneers are holding a glass sale on the 16th July with some interesting Whitefriars textured range vases on offer. Woolley and Wallis have their British and Continental glass and ceramics auction early in July. Kinghams have their Fine Art and Design sale later in July. These just being a few of the auctions up and coming in July

Whitefriars Fake vases

The fake Drunken Bricklayer section has now been added to the fake onion and fake hooped vase section of my website. I will add a fake TV vase once I have managed to find one. sometimes collecting can be a minefield and hopefully you find this resource useful

Interesting articles in the Antique Trade Gazette

A model of Nelson's flagship Victory given to Margaret Thatcher made a hammer price of £92,000.

Interesting collection of the goalkeeper who survived the 1958 Munich disaster came up at auction plus some other FA cup football memorabilia made it through the auctions in June. Pele's 1958 World Cup final shirt is estimated to go through the auction and expected to make in excess of $6 million.
