February 2026 Newsletter

Welcome

 Welcome to the February 2026 newsletter. One month of the year gone already but 11 more to go. Hopefully I can find some new interesting pieces in the next couple of months to try and tempt you all. The market is still feeling the post Christmas lull but I am looking forward to an upturn in business and more collectors out on the hunt.

Faulkner and Booth Hungerford

A relatively quiet month in the shop with major roadworks and the inevitable post Christmas tightening on the purse strings having a major impact on business. Poor weather also played a factor so hopefully a nicer February will bring people out.

Interesting auctions coming up in 2026

March will be the interesting month for me with Fieldings Design Sale covering all of the major categories that I like to collect and sell. It is expected to have over 250 lots of Clarice Cliff with a good sized collection of Whitefriars and the normal Moorcroft and Lalique offerings 

Glass Fair

Sunday April the 19th is the date for the latest Glass Fair to be  held at Gaydon Warwick CV35 0BJ. More information will be posted next month. I assume their will be an early bird opening and then the main opening at 10am.

Research projects for 2026

I am looking to spend more time in 2026 researching some of the main areas I love. Basically the Art Deco period fascinates me and the glass and ceramic designers giving my passion for this period of design. A trip to Stoke on Trent to visit the potteries museum /stoke library / Wedgwood and Moorcroft and a trip to Harrow and Wealdstone museum to explore their  Whitefriars collection.
